The Tri Dharma of Higher Education
The Tri Dharma of Higher Education is one of the goals that must be achieved and carried out by every tertiary institution in Timor-Leste. Higher education should give birth to young people or educated people who have high enthusiasm, creative thinking, independent, innovative in order to build the nation in various sectors according to their abilities. The essence and content of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education consists of 3 points:
Education and Teaching
The first point of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education is Education and Teaching. Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have spiritual strength of religion, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble morals and skills needed by themselves, society, the nation and the State
Research and Development
Research and Development is something that this nation must always do if it wants to progress and develop. Carrying out research and development, of course, will have an impact on the advancement of the economy, education, social and other sectors in society.
Community Service
Of course there is one more thing that is used to complement it, namely Community Service. Without a soul and spirit of dedication to society, of course there will be no meaning. Students only become the forerunners of humans who are selfish and don't care about society. Certainly not something good, where students are the great hope of this nation and are expected to be able to grow, develop, and become the hope for the future of the nation.
